The Kit contains everything you need to power your 12V system. It’s Aluminium frame surrounds the glass and grade A monocrystalline solar cells.(2X80W).

The advanced 20A CONTROLLER is used to make sure your battery is not over-charged or over- discharged. The CABLE has been designed to handle the high current output by the 160W solar panel and high temperatures with minimal power loss.

Having been away on 'hook up' and battery/solar power I am now better placed to review our panels.

With hook up we never really got the opportunity to check out the panels although it did give us the chance of a 'dry run' fitting.

Pleased to say all went well. Simple and straightforward.

With regard to our 'off grid' excursion we booked into a 'Forest' site so clearly no chance of and supplemental power availability.

Initially I/we booked for 3 nights as we were unsure as to how we would function regarding 'elektrikery' from battery/solar sources alone.

Well suffice to say we stayed for a total of 7 nights and not once did we have any concerns regarding the supply of 'wiggly amps'.

Every day when checking the control panel in the caravan for voltage it was always well into the 12v and regularly in the 13v.

So regarding the panel. Well pleased. The oversize bag is actually a bonus as it makes removing/restowing that much easier.

Connection to the battery is a little fiddly but that is more down to limited space in the compartment than the panel connections.

Given the weight of the panel I would have to say, and this is the one and only 'minor' observation, I would have liked to see sturdier support leg fixtures as those on the panel appear to be a little 'flexible'.

In conclusion...….very pleased with the panel and equally well pleased with all dealings with Penny and Titan-Energy.
